Interview with Cathy Cassidy

Published July 7, 2013 by booksforbirds2013
I’ve got such a treat in this post. A few days back I got together with the one and only chocolate expert, and author, Cathy Cassidy!!

What is your favorite childhood memory relating to books?
Making a picture book for my little brother when I was about eight. I was so proud of it, but by the end of the day he’d eaten most of it! Not a great first step into the world of being an author, but things have looked up a lot since then.

What’s your favorite line from any movie?
From Chocolat:
‘But still the clever north wind was not satisfied. It spoke to Vianne of towns yet to be visited, friends in need yet to be discovered, battles yet to be fought …by someone else, next time.’

If you could be a pair of jeans what style would you be? why?
Skinny drainpipes, 1950s retro style. The only jeans I’ve ever worn, long, long ago!

What would you do if you were the last person on this earth?
I’d be very lonely…

If you could eliminate one thing from your daily schedule, what would it be and why?
Washing up… do I really need to explain why?

Whats the one thing you can’t live without?
That’d be oxygen…

Tea or Coffee?
Used to be tea, but coffee these days. Latte if possible!

What cartoon character best represents your personal philosophy?
Maybe I could be Kanga from Winnie the Pooh… that would be quite cool! And she’s a kind, caring character. Or Bugs Bunny, because he’s crazy!

What is your favorite place to read? e.g. park, coffee shop etc.
In a hammock in the garden, but it hardly ever happens! I can read almost anywhere, it’s my addiction!

If you could have one superpower which would it be?
I’d like to be able to fly!

What is the scariest thing you have ever done for fun?
White water rafting in Nepal… awesome!

What childish things do you still do as an adult?
Does reading children’s books count?

Favourite ice cream flavour?
Raspberry ripple. Or, if I’m being posh, Cookies & Cream from Ben & Jerry!
Thanks – hope these are OK!

Thank You for your time Cathy!! xx
